Domestic Violence Shelter

NFHC’s Domestic Violence Shelter provides safe shelter, crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling, and life skills training to those affected by domestic violence.

Currently our Domestic Violence Shelter maintains 24 beds. For eligibility those in need are asked to call our 24/7 crisis line and complete an intake assessment to ensure appropriate care and support.

Domestic Violence Shelter services include:

  • A 24-bed secured facility
  • Trauma Therapists on site
  • Ongoing advocacy, education, support and tools for safety planning
  • A healing environment
  • Individualized case management & referrals for obtaining services from other agencies
  • After care support

Our Domestic Violence Shelter provides respite and care for those affected by Domestic Violence in an empowering atmosphere that promotes healthy relationships.  While staying at NFHC clients will create their own goals during case management meetings and are provided with resources and referrals to obtain housing, employment, medical services, child care and legal assistance.
